My friend Susan made me a scarf. I got it in the mail last week and wore it for two straight days. I’ll probably be in it all winter because wearing it is like getting a hug from my dear friend.

I’m a fan of the unexpected gift or any other treat, but I really, really love a hand made gift. Nothing says “I love you” like baking/knitting/sewing/mixing/gathering or otherwise making something for someone else.

Time is the thing that it seems like we never have enough of. Giving it away speaks volumes.
